Behind-the-ear hearing aids fit comfortably and our products are attached to a soft silicone ear tip. With BTE hearing aids, the electronics are housed in a case that fits behind the ear. Sound is directed from the hearing aid, through the tubing, and through the silicone ear tip to the eardrum. As a general statement, BTE aids produce a better sound quality. One reason is that the components inside, especially the microphone and receivers, can be made larger and are very reliable and sturdy.
